LAN to wan Filter b or w List?

At the moment I try to test some things with lan to wan Filter.

I use white List. So I block all outgoing Ports. I opened only Ports 53 (TCP/UDP)
80 (TCP) 443 (TCP) and for my xbox (source IP) Port 3074 (TCP/UDP) and Port 88 (UDP).

Do I need something else I have to rethink about? Is it usless t use the Netfilter? Do you use the Filters?

Should I use Blacklist or Whitelist?

Blocking everything by default and using a whitelist is the most restricted/secure setup. If you don't need random ports it should be fine.

Other services you might use:
Echo for pings
NTP (network time protocol) for your operating system to synchronize time
FTP
SMTP or POP for emails
