YOU WILL LOSE ALL DATA. MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS. DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU MESS YOUR NAS UP.

that being said, this doesn't harm the bootloader in any way so if you mess up, you can easily recover.

If you updated to the New UI and would like to downgrade, here's how:

PREREQUISITES:
LGNAS (N2B1 is tested and working. READ NOTE AT BOTTOM***)
A way to upload the firmware (either windows pc or usb flash drive.)
Firmware files WINDOWS METHOD : http://www.mediafire.com/download/cunk5r1yn9y6fq4/new2old.zip
Firmware files USB METHOD : https://www.mediafire.com/?lj990n7z13wenvv

Steps:
1) Backup all data on your NAS.
2) If using the USB method, read http://forum.nas-portal.org/showthre...SB-flash-drive HOWEVER use the zip file attached here and unzip that to the subdirectory instead of the other files. SKIP TO STEP 8 after this is complete.

3) If using the windows method, unzip the zip file posted above and run the nasdetector.exe
4) Put nas into netboot mode by holding the two arrow buttons when turning the unit on
5) In the nasdetector program, click on the nas you are downgrading.
6) Click install nas system and select the zip file that is in the app's folder called New2OldUI.zip
7) Install the zip and when the NAS reboots, It may hang. That is normal. Just restart it.
8) The downgrade should be complete and you should now have the latest tantulus firmware installed. There is one more step that is not required but is RECOMMENDED
9) I recommend that you open the NAS's web page and do a system INIT because that would get rid of any side effects from the install. from there you can install any OLD UI firmware you want.

****NOTE***** If anyone is brave enough to test this on another NAS, replace the firmware_2660_1_0_0t.bin with the firmware that corresponds to your NAS's old UI and change the "firmware_2660_1_0_0t" line in the tftp_files2.txt file to the name of your firmware file.

Hello, that information I think is really fake ! because I tried a lot of times boot with a USB method and never achieve that NAS boot... by Windows the link it doesn't work.... it's broken...I think I wasted a lot of time for nothing. I changed thousand times the file (rename tar.gz to bint) and press the button <- and -> at the same time for boot in netboot but is not logical netboot is for net not for USB ! then is fake the tutorial that read about you in other post. I hope someone clear this information. Thx. Gabry.
