New Around Here
Product ID: Asus wireless RT-N12C1
Firmware Version: 3.0.0.4.374_813-gf2791af

I am not asking how to block &/or allow wireless devices, I'm not asking how to connect to wifi.

I am asking how to limit the bandwidth of an already connected device, like a device that hogs so much bandwidth that makes loading even a plain website to a crawl. Thanks in advance!

Looking at the factory web interface for my RT-N56U, the QOS page (Traffic Manager>QoS) provides for limiting specific service types. Otherwise, the "Parental Controls" allow time limiting specific IPs on the LAN. Not sure about the RT-N12 but it is probably similar.

Your version number looks like an update to a later version may be in order to get the latest security fixes, but again, not sure about what is available for that router.

Yes, thanks for the idea, I went to "Traffic Manager - QoS", then see a "Automatic mode" drop-down menu, then I saw "User-defined QoS rules" then select it, then just put his MAC(not apple like iphone) address there, set protocol to "any", transferred to 0~220 cause the above examples are 0~512 so I put his at 0~220, last set priority to lowest, I think service name is just naming it anything u want, so i named it something along the lines of Net Hog
