Ok I recently flashed dd wrt latest firmware through firefox and I did it through Ethernet. I am 100% sure I did everything properly and the router still acts weird. I have to power cycle the router a lot it's annoying and frustrating. When the router turns on shortly after being power cycled the speeds are normal but after some hours the speeds decrease I'm like what the hell?! I made sure there is no interference and the router signal is strong 5 bars I just do not understand Maybe I have a lemon

Just noticed your posting about your issues that you've been having. Most likely nothing that you've done wrong. I've got the WRT1900ACv2 and I've been running KONG builds for a while on it now, but as of late, been have a lot of connection drops/long page loading times as it seems like it getting stuck on certain scripts or even address look ups...
I've copied my initial post on the linked topic below in red, more details about my issue, etc. Check out the link thought, because other's are adding their information in there as well.
Couple things:
1) I've been using KONG dd-wrt builds for almost a year now, and lately been running the latest/greatest KONG dd-wrt builds which are the 11/15 ish build and KONG just posted a 12/24 build (not sure if that's a beta version or not). I've tried the 12/24, and it seems to still have the same issues, but I'm not a 100% certain yet. So I've been bouncing back and forth between the stock firmware, and these builds to try to figure out what is causing this.
2) Other's stated that they have been running the KONG's 9/29 ish version - see the link for their exact version they've been running, and they're reported that it's been pretty stable for them. I've tried that version, it seemed a little better, but I can't say that for sure with a 100% certainty.
3) It did seem that when I flashed back from dd-wrt to the linksys base firmware (as others have mentioned, if you're on DD-WRT, search for KONGS stock dd-WRT to factory firmware file for your model & Version of router). Use that file to flash first (mine kept most of the settings I already had). NOTE: Some recommend doing a COMPLETE FACTORY RESET and then re flashing to whatever version you want whether its stock or dd-wrt). Once you're back to stock, then what I did was obviously let the router update it's firmware through the menu options.
Once I did the above and went from the 11/19ish version, back to STOCK, it really seemed to make a difference, I'd almost say SIGNIFICANT improvement in regards to stability, and pages seems to be just poppin in Firefox for me.
Of course, I like the open flexibility of the KONG builds, one fact that I can't seem to get working on the Stock software on the WRT1900AC is the fact that it always passing it's IP address as the DNS server to all clients, and not the actually DNS servers your IP gives you or that you want to use. So my PC will first pas the DNS request to the router, then the router in turn passes the DNS request along to the actual DNS servers by the IP provider. This can cause some delays and stalls and possible "Web page not found, etc" until a couple refreshes are done. The dd-wrt (I finally figured out how to get it properply configured) so the the router isn't acting as a DNS gateway basically, and it actually assigns my PC the 3 DNS servers that I specified to use (can confirm by doing a CMD window with IPCONFIG /ALL). On my setup and ISP my browser initially seemed like was FLYING through pages !!
5) Something else you might want to research is the settings used for both wireless networks (5 and 2.4). There's posting from people, although using other routers, indicate customized settings for these Wireless networks because if lets to auto or default in some cases, causes traffic interference and collisions results in erratic router behavior. Again, I've just started to read up, research and test some of these. Here's one guys posting, although for a different router, might be applicable in a lot of those points to the WRT1900 as well. In either case, he seems to be knowleable and explains a lot of those setting/advanced settings and how to optimize them, or at least learn to start tweaking them for your specific setup... Highly recommend you check it out as well....

All - I was experiencing almost identical conditions that kanock has reported on here. I have a WRT1900acv2, and have been running KONG builds on it for well over a year. Overall, it's been pretty stable, until about the last month or so.
Same as kanock, downloading torrents, just a couple of them at a time, nothing to crazy, using Tixati, and just general web surfing at the same time using Firefox. I was experiencing very frequent "web pages is not available, or very long loading delays on web pages, then sometime they would all of a sudden finish loading and display, and more often than not, it would just stall and give me the "web page not available...." etc, etc. Running Windows 10, I'd troubleshoot the connection, and it would report back that my networks proxy settings could not be determined, or indicate that I needed to reboot my connection/router. Tried a lot of fixes, reflashing the build, rolling back to previous 1 or 2 builds, rebooting computer, restarting router, disconnecting other devices to the network, turning on and off both WIFI networks (thinking that the signals might be interfering with my ISP - which is dish based service to a nearby tower, not like DISH NETWORK). Everything resulted in the same conditions. The frequency and length of page delays and outages were nearly every 5 mins, maybe 10 or so if I was lucky.
So, after reading kanock's apparent success with flashing back to the stock and trying that, I decided to give that a try.
So, I download the .bin file that KONG has posted for flashing back to stock from dd-wrt build. Flashed the WRT1900acv2 with that file, worked great, kept most of my settings from what I could tell. Then logged into the router, and used the built in Linksys Upgrade Firmware to latest version. That worked without a hitch.
ABOUT 5 HOURS AFTER FACTORY FLASH: I've been up and running the router, same conditions, everything on (both Wireless Networks), all devices connected to network, running some torrents (have completed about 15 torrents actually) all while surfing the web in the browser, and I don't think I've had 1 connection drop. Maybe a couple of them, but I was resetting my DNS servers, so I think I caused those drops.
So, I agree with kanock and thanks to him for posting his findings - got me to try the factory flash.
There must be something going on within the KONG's latest builds and issues with the number of connections ???? Either way, something is causing the connections to eventually bottleneck and kill it.
Hope this helps drive a resolution. I'd like to move back to dd-wrt, especially the KONG builds but for now need to stick with the Linksys Firmware. It's working !!
