No need to clean your glasses or bust out the LCD Screen wipes... you are not having a flashback, stroke, or a dream. And I thought the idea of Western Digital getting into the networking arena was bizarre. It seems now the maker of all things mouse, keyboard, and bada$$ home theater remote control is also going to be releasing a Wireless Router this month! Here are the specs:

I suppose, these days, branding stuff from Asia is not an R&D or engineering issue, but rather a business case issue, with out-sourced tech support, the question then might just come down to product cost + wholesale margin has to be less than support and warranty costs!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i could have sworn Western Digital designed their router themselves. From what i've seen of it in various reviews, it's not some re-brand like we commonly see in the industry.

I'll reserve judgement on the Logitech routers until after they're reviewed here, especially since they are one of the few companies out there that actually designs their own products. And considering how innovative their mice, keyboards, and remotes are... i have a feeling they didn't go slap their brand on some generic chinese router.

Also... here are the specs on their 11AC router...

DOH!!!! This is NOT made by Logitech. It's a Japanese company named Logitec.

Perhaps I should refrain from starting threads after a long day of drinking and football...

Now, your next assignment is to find out who actually manufactured your
refigerator
washing machine
dish washer
water heater

Looks like a radar station, just kidding.. ;) These type of WiFi Routers needs to be tested professional. Specs seem like everyone else. Never heard of this company. But they're so many out there. I am sticking with my WAP ESR600H (600MHz NPU, 256MB DDR3, Dual Band, 4x SMA 2x 5dbi external, 2x internal. No issues to stream 1080i to 1080p HD video along with AC3 to my network devices wireless 802.11n.
