Looking for wireless router for 60mb internet

Flak

Occasional Visitor
Looking for suggestions for a wireless n router with gigabit switch that will get me full speed with my new 60/5 internet connection. Routers I have tried that do not work:
DIR-655
many various linksys I had laying around
TP-Link 1043 (seems to max out around 50mb)
Untangle box also maxes out around 50mb (this makes me cry as I love Untangle)

Will an EnGenius esr9850 work?

Thanks, not sure what I'm supposed to see there. As some of the routers I have tried (including the esr9850) do not let me cap my 60/5 internet. All the routers I've tried now max out at 30/5.

I think I'll just have to go back to using a firewall distro as my router and whatever router I decide to keep as the wireless AP. I did manage to get untangle to hit 60/5 consistently, and many other firewall distro's do so easily as well.

Thanks for the help.

So I have this esr9850, since my internet connection on it maxes out at 30/5 like the previous routers I've tried I decided to just use it as a wireless AP.

However, as soon as I add the esr9850 to the environment my top down drops all the way to 5mb down. Browsing the web becomes extremely slow as well.

In the past when adding a wireless router I set it to an IP that fits my network and disable dhcp and just let it be. With the esr9850 I've also gone through and tried disabling every security feature, disabled nat (which disables the turbine feature). Disabling all of that and nat brings me to 10mb down, still far short of my 60mb down. If I take the esr9850 out of the loop my internet speeds go right back to normal instantly.

What you're supposed to see there is there are many routers capable of handling the speed of your connection.

If you are using routers that have tested with high throughput but are only producing 30/5 for you, then there is some other mechanism is at work.

What are you connecting the router to, a modem or a router?
