Low TX Rate on RT-AX86U AiMesh

Hi everyone, I have two RT-AX86U. One acting as the main and one set up in AiMesh mode. They are hard wired together. I am seeing on my new MacBook Pro very low TX rates (288 Rate) when I am sitting directly in front of my AiMesh router. When I walk into the room where I have my main router, turn off Wifi, then back on so it connects to the main router, I am seeing 1000+ TX rate. Do the same thing with the AiMesh router and I drop to 288 even. Why is this happening? I would love to get real speeds from both my routers. Thanks so much!
