MAC IP binding management on Merlin

Bhoot®

Occasional Visitor
Hello - AXE16000. How are people doing MAC address IP Bindings? Each time I do firmware upgrades, the MAC to IP bindings get zeroed so just shows MAC address + IP but nothing else. Takes an age to get all the bindings for key items sorted out. I have PiHole setup but preference is to use the router itself. Not sure if there a solution that I can use in Merlin and in stock from firmware if I need to go back to stock (use wireless AiMesh - had issues getting it stable only thing that worked was going to stock). Want to give current Merlin version a go. Just need help making MAC binding configs easier.

If you are asking about manual DHCP IP address reservations that tie a MAC address to an IP address, one can configure those in the LAN > DHCP Server page (see Manual Assignment and Manually Assigned IP addresses in the DHCP scope sections). There are various methods including, if using Asus-Merlin firmware, using YazDHCP to backup and restore those Manually Assigned IP Addresses.
