Making NAS accessible remotely?

Occasional Visitor
I would like to be able to login and mount my NAS network drive from anywhere with an internet connection. What do I need to do in order to allow this? My NAS box is a dedicated DIY Linux server (Ubuntu 8.10 + Webmin).
