Malware Filter Can't CD to /opt

I'm trying to do the instructions to install the malware-block script. The instructions on Rmerlin's wiki say "ts recommended not to store this script in firewall-start rather add the script to /opt/bin/malware-block". My problem is I can't CD to /opt. Get response of "can't cd to /opt" in ssh. I can ls it and it's there and a directory.

I'm sure this is something easy, but I'm stumped.

but there is a line in the script that says set your path here so it can be what ever your heart desires
