Manually Selecting Channel, devices connect via ac not ax

Hello,

Owner of a RT-AX88u using latest merlin firmware, I have noticed if I manually select a channel like 100 for example, my ax devices connect via ac but if I select auto, the channel is still 100 but can connected via ax.

Any idea why that happens, I always use channel 100 but its pot luck if auto will select channel 100.

Use a WiFi Analyzer or Analyzer App and see what is being advertised. It is up to the device how it connects yet it will not attempt to connect AX if it is not advertised.

This is not a normal behavior. I've never seen this happening on any router, unless you change by accident other settings then Auto/Fixed channel.
