MAP-AC2200 still worth it as AiMesh node?

Hi guys,
I just got RT-BE88U, but my garage doesn't have internet, so I would like to know if it's still worth it or if it still works with AiMesh 2.0. As I can only install a ceiling AP, the MAP-AC2200 is the only one I can find in ASUS that can AiMesh. Or Other brand Ceiling APs can flash Marlin Firmware?

This thing is End-of-Life for years with 382 firmware AiMesh 1.0 and not a ceiling mount AP. It was one of the early desktop mesh sets. Not sure if it will work at all with your new RT-BE88U once Guest network Pro switches to the new Network configuration.
