Media Bridge mode

Anyone tried or is using media bridge mode?
My netgear bridge 4004 is dead, and I always hated it (disconnections, etc..).
So I can buy another N66U and use it in bridge mode

Yes, from an upstairs N66U router to a downstairs N66U in bridge mode-only about 10 feet. Worked great for about 4 months-no problems. Used in bridge mode until the weather warmed up then ran a cable through the garage to use as an access point.
