Merlin FW for RT-N18U ?

is anybody using Merlin's fork of ASUS fw for RT-N18u ? Is it worth trying ? What's the comparison to ASUS stock fw ?

There is only hgg fork of merlins fw for rt-n18u. I just bought this router and flashed hgg fw and it's great.
