Merlin on F-Stationary

xiego

New Around Here
I came here from the rather rude and non-explanatory comment on the Github Wiki about how Merlin won't work on a certain mobile carrier's (let's call it F-Stationary) routers. After having been here for longer than a minute, I realize the only reason anyone would be that inexplicably rude to a subset of their users is because it must be illegal. Either way, the wiki could just say it's illegal and unsupported.

I understand that having a forum where noobs ask the same questions over and over again can be annoying, but would it really be a forum without that?

Cheers guys. I'm about to flash my F-Stationary router with Merlin whether you like it or not.

There are no less than 3 sticky posts addressing this issue at the top of this forum.

just checked a website named after a popular rainforest and tall women. can confirm, still available.

Oh damn, back to $59.99.

Just to clear this up. Do what you want, no one here things negatively of your setup otherwise.

The comment wasn't rude. Your configuration is simply unsupported so don't come here for help. It was a simple request, that is all.

It is the same same thing if you have the DSL, GT, or any other unsupported variant of these routers.

This simply isn't a place to discuss circumventing DRM measures. No harm intended.

Re: your edit
Yea I get it, and you have to color in between the lines to make everyone happy. it was just blunt and went against what I knew to be true. cheers everyone. sorry for freaking out.

Welcome to the forum eiego. Just a reminder, if you decide to purchase anything from a website named after a popular rainforest and tall women, click on any link here in the forum. SNB gets a small commission on anything you buy and it helps Tim pay the bills and keeps the forum alive. Just sayin.
