MoCa and old ActionTec 424 wireless router

New Around Here
I am a newb here, don't know much about networking other than experimenting with gear.

Can I just plug in an old Actiontec Router 424wr into a MoCA to create a new wireless signal for a hard to connect area of my house?
Do I have to change it to an Access Point?

If I have to convert the Actiontec Router 424wr to an Access point, can I plug an ethernet cable into it and run it to a DVD that does internet televison (Like Netflix) ?

Yes, an access point (AP), or a WiFi router properly reconfigured to emulate an AP, can connect to a MoCA device to in turn get connectivity to the LAN and WAN.

Read the FAQ on re-purposing a WiFi router as an AP.
