I am using the OpenVPN client built in to Merlin. Occasionally it disconnects, and won’t reconnect. I want to be able to monitor this and notify myself if it goes down. I can’t seem to find a utility to do this - connmon does not seem to monitor for the VPN status directly, rather looks to ping something, which will not work for my use case. VPNMon r2 does not seem to have a notification method built in. Anyone know of a simple way to monitor and report on the VPN up/down status?
