More channel rt-ax88u

Dear members, I want to have channels 149 to 165 on my rt-ax88u. I can't find how I can get this on a European Asus router? Is there anyone who can help me with this. The channels I want are a lot more stable than the current channels. thanks in advance

You can't. Using those channels in Europe is illegal and you will get no help in these forums trying to circumvent those restrictions.

strange! on my previous router the Netgear R7800 did have these channels. if that would be illegal I would never have been able to buy that router in the Netherlands, I think.

In the past manufactures often allowed customers to change the router's region, channel or power output and trusted them to comply with their local laws. As this ability was being widely abused the authorities (notably the FCC) were getting complaints about interference. So a few years ago (June 2016 IIRC) new regulations were introduced in the US and EU that required manufactures to "lock down" their devices so that customers could no longer use these illegal settings.
