Motorolla SB6183 to get rid of monthly charge? Good Choice?

I am in Charleston SC, and have Xfinity blast, which gives me 86Mbps, advertised 75Mbps.
They offer 250 Mbps here too. But, I am not paying that kind of money.
Is this a good deal to future proof myself, save some money etc?
