Moving to new router...It's possible to transfer settings?

I'm about to move to a ac87u from my old RT-N16 and i have a very long list of manually assigned IPs, port forwarded ports, ect.....

Is is possible (and safe) to export/import settings between different model routers who have the same Asuswrt-Merlin firmware version?

I really don't want to spend hours setting up the router from scratch.

This seems to be a good solution leaving only wireless settings to be done from scratch.

Sometimes the search function on forums is useless if the search chain providing good results is not directly related to what we are looking for.
