I get this: What does it mean?

72 bytes from 216.58.209.142: icmp_seq=9 ttl=54 time=48.139 ms

wrong total length 92 instead of 1500

ICMP pings don't carry 1500 bytes, it would be totally pointless and a waste of bandwidth when all is needed is a small ICMP packet to be sent back and forth.
