Not sure of the inner workings and if they have applied any limits here, but, I currently have an RP-AC55 in AP mode using an ethernet connection back to an Asus router. It's in the foamed attic, works great, 110 outside doesn't bother it at all since attic is not hot. I need a second one in the attic. I'd greatly prefer not to need a second ethernet cable back to the router. Can I put a small switch in the attic, and, connect both APs and the existing link to the router so as to only use a single router port for both RP-AC55? Or, is there some special way they implemented the connections causing each RP-AC55 needing their own ethernet port on the router?
