Rather terse.
Quickie reviews of
D-Link DNS-325-110 - reviewer said no-buy
Patriot Javelen S4 (?) - reviewer said software clumsy, poor value
QNAP TS259 Pro+ - reviewer said super high speed but Synology software better
Synology DS211+ - Reviewer said not quite as fast as QNAP, better software
Synology DS411slim
Bottom-line star-ratings - as usual, PC World blew it by giving highest rating to most expensive NAS, ($200 more).
But the reviews made it clear that among these, QNAP and Synology were in a different league. The article should have used Netgear and Iomega instead of or in addition to Patriot.
The reviews these days seem to come from free-lance writers who are superficial in their reviews. But hey, life's rough in the magazine biz.
