Need a 24 port gigabit switch with at least 1 SFP+ port. Any recommendations ?

probably not unless you go used. Mikrotik switches still arent perfect though but definitely better than dlink.

The switch will just be used as a switch for a large LAN party that me and about 10 friends want to start. All the heavy lifting will be done by pfsense running on a dual xeon server. The big problem is bandwith between the switches at tables hence the need for an sfp+ port

You could look for a Cisco SG500X-24 switch. It is a 10 gig switch probably close to EOL. It is a little noisy for my closet but for a LAN party it should be fine.
