Need a Router with 100mb throughput

New Around Here
Just got wired for Optimum Ultra internet of 100Mbps down, 15 up. I get 100Mbps down if I go direct from computer to modem. But adding a Gigabit router cuts me to 60 down. Called Netgear and they said the max throughput LAN-WAN of the FVS-336G router is 60. ROuter is properly showing T1000 in both Lan and Wan.

Does anyone know of a good wired router (not wireless) that can do 100Mbps throughput? Thanks.

I'd stay away from the Netgear FVS336G. Just replaced one with a Draytek 2950g. The netgear kept freezing up and this after much tech support from Netgear and even having a replacement unit sent. I was running it with a cable pipe (18Mb down/1Mb up) and a backup DSL line (1Mb down/.5Mb up). Users are doing the usual.. mail, torrents, ftp, etc. I think the heaviest load was when one user would pull from Usenet.

That router chart is useful and informative.

Thanks!

Tim and PHyLIX, thank you. That chart is great. I wish I saw it before I bought the 336G. The chart is accurate, throughput Wan to Lan of 59Mbps. Cablevision is bringing a router that is supposed to match the 100Mbps download speed. I'll find out what it is next week and post the results. Thank again.

Which net provider, which city, what are you paying for it?
