Not a newbie, but not very clever I need a simple setup explanation (layout).

The case is a new Asus 68U at my summer house where I up to now have an Inteno router with an outdoor ip camera from Hikvision. As the Inteno didn't have vpn I have been advised to buy the Asus and put it as a secondary router. Next config it as VPN server.

I wish to reach the camera from remote on a windows 10 computer, ipad and android mobil. On the computer I use Hikvisions IVMS-4200 and on the ipad and the mobil IVMS-4500. All giving me what I need from the camera remote.

Using port forward on the Inteno open for hacking and therefore I go for a VPN solution. I also have no-ip, but Asus have a free built in DDNS so I go for it.

I don't need any more from the VPN than access to the camera and therefore the instructions i manual and other like https://www.snbforums.com/threads/h...with-asus-routers-380-68-updated-08-24.33638/ isn't usable for me. The Asus manual is her https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/RT-AC68U/E14013_RT-AC68U_manual_v2.pdf. But the last one have only a few lines about VPN server and also did not explain how to use the VPN server.

I hope someone can direct me to a simple setup instruction or give it here.

Using these instructions, https://x3mtek.com/openvpn-server-setup-instructions-for-asuswrt-merlin/, I am able to access the camera using the iPad app or using a browser and typing in the IP address of the camera to get to the logon screen.

Thank you, Xentrk
That procedure use Asus WRT-Merlin. What is the main adventage over the original software?
My Next problem is the ip setup of the Asus 68u (the second router). I want to keep most of my Devices on the first router (inteno) and only the camera to the vpn-server on the second router. Looking for whats needed to change from original setup.
