Need new router - Belkin problems, E1200 meh

Hi all,

I am looking for advice on a new router and since I have had trouble with the first two I purchased (on my own) I figured now would be a good time to ask you for help.

I first tried a Belkin N750. Its wireless was great, had good range and strength of signal. But it was missing some features that I appreciate (and that I personally feel should be standard), like dhcp reservations and the ability to release and renew wan ips.

The nail in the coffin though has been the problem I mention in this thread here: http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=6216

Due to that odd problem, I purchased a Linksys E1200. I went with a non-db model because I don't need a second wifi network... and I avoided the E1500 based on review on this site.

However, the signal strength and range on this E1200 are pretty poor in my environment. Very lacking compared to the Belkin, for example.

So... what I am looking for is something with the strength and range of the Belkin, but with the features of the Linksys. Would the more expensive DB linksys routers fit the bill?

I dont want to throw money away finding out for myself again, so I am at the mercy of fine you folks! :)
