Netgear R6700 stopped working after two years

I have an R6700 in my house. I forget exactly how long but probably something like two years. It has worked fine until a few days ago when it suddenly stopped working. It will no longer pick up an IP from my Comcast cable modem. The modem seems ok because if I plug into it directly, I can get internet. My main PC is wired into the modem and the 192.168.1.1 address would not bring up the router screen. I was able to get to it using my phone using the wireless. That showed no internet connection. Nothing was changed. Just work up one morning with no external connection and difficulty getting to the router's setup screens.

I did all the usual things like power cycle the modem and router several times and doing a reset router using my phone to reach the router screen.

So is my router blown?

Have you tried resetting it via the pin switch?

Did you leave power off to the entire network (physically unplug all AC power plugs) for at least 10 minutes and preferably 30 minutes or more (I recommend an hour or more to ensure that all residual energy has dissipated)?

Did you turn on/reboot the PC after powering on the router and waiting at least 5 minutes for it to boot up properly?

I found the problem and it wasn't the router. I have some CAT6 cables running through my house to access points. They terminate at wall mounted jacks. The cable plugged into to one of the jacks was getting squashed by a piece of furniture. That was somehow caused the router to not work. When I took the pressure off the plug, the router worked normally again.
