Hopefully this is the right forum.
Anyone have the R8000 on Fresh Tomato ?
If so do you see any performance drop in any areas over stock ?
 
Tomato uses the wireless driver from Asuswrt (and an older version of it actually), so it might not be fully optimal for the Netgear hardware.
 
Yes sadly that seems to be the case.
I tried DDwrt and that had good signal, however there were static ip assignment bugs in the Kong version I tried.
Thanks for answering. Hopefully something can be done in future .... though not holding breath.
 
Love it too ..... but not much good to me if it can't fully utilize my hardware.
Sitting on my patio stock firmware is 3 bars
Tomato = no connect.
Thats a negative on that ghostrider.
