Wonder how the antenna configuration is setup. Might be a good value.

I'm guessing they stuck with 2x2 radios, as that may have required less re-coding of the firmware/software stack.

Regardless, the main value add will be gigabit (-ish) backhaul (with Pro at least) and a bit more fronthaul per client.

More likely, for cost and physical size. With mesh, range is less important.
