New Guy in need of help

Sandokan1

New Around Here
Hello
I'm sandokan1 I have what might be a newb question, but I'm new to networking and I'm ready to learn, so if you can point me in the right direction I will be more than grateful for the help.
I read the vlan article on the site but couldn't find my problem, but still have questions.
I have netgear ac1900 c7000 router modem, that I just purchased to replace my Zyxel x650.
I connected my netgear to get my comcast internet.
There's a part of the house that doesn't get good wireless, so I figured I could put my old zyxel ports's to use it's and wire it to run it like a switch to reach my tv .
My problem is once I connected my x650 to my to my netgear via wire I can't get to zyxel admin page to put the x650 in bridge mode, the manual says 198.168.1.0. I understand netgear assigned me a new IP but do I disconnect netgear and plugin x650 just to get to the page?
Now when I connect my wire from my netgear lan port does it connect to x650 's lan port, I assume not the wan port right!
And lastly once connected from netgear to x650 I see the x650 bands the 2.5 and 5 Ghz how do I delete them and have them all under my Netgear 5 & 2.4 would it be a channel change?
Hopefully this is the right spot on the forum.
Thanks for your time.

Disable the DHCP server on the ZyXEL.

There should be controls on the ZyXEL to disable the radios. If there isn't, you can use them as an additional access point. But assign different channels, using 1,6,11 on 2.4 GHz and any other channel on 5 GHz.
