Santa came by with one of these as a household storage solution. It certainly seems physically robust. I wonder be able to power it up for a couple of days. My wife has about 1 TB of photos that we'll collect to the device, as well as our music collection.
Our is the 2.5 TB model based upon 500 GB drives. We'll be using it RAID5 so only 2 TB net space. The E-Sata expansion is interesting. I can image adding a low-cost Drobo chassis to provide a few more drives. Or perhaps that's the backup strategy.
