Upgrading Firmware

Hi all, I've been lurking here for awhile and getting ready ta dive into da world of Merlin firmware.....question....would the right version to use for a RT-N66U be the 3.0.0.4.374.35_4 build

The SDK5 build will give you better signal strength on that model. You can use the regular build however if you don't have a lot of surface to cover.

Thank you sir for ur quick response....it's a lil bit over 3,000 sq ft...so that would be the 3.0.0.4.374.35_4 sdk5.zip file correct?

That just for the 2.4 GHz band IIRC. Is that correct?

Upgrade to Merlin FW was a success...thank you Mr. Merlin:) One question though, with MAC filtering once you enter a MAC address and enter a name for it....can you go back and edit that name later. I tried doing it but it didn't seem to let me?

Normally I just delete and create the particular entry

Very few pages on the webui let you edit an existing entry. Unfortunately, due to the way the webui was implemented, it would require some major changes to it to allow editable fields everywhere. I'd rather see Asus do that themselves, or otherwise it would become a major chore to merge any new version of their webui into mine.
