not sure where to start-phonom service

I live in Virginia and I my ISP is Cavalier. I have the phonom service with an innomedia mta soho that is a router and I connect my desktop pc to it. I want to add wireless so I can connect my new laptop.

CAn I just buy a wireless router and plug it into the innomedia piece? or how do I start?
