Hello all,

I am hoping one of guys or the Almighty Merlin can answer this.

I am trying to utilize LACP link between rt-ax88u aimesh nodes and the main rt-ax88u.

My understanding is that for aimesh to work via ethernet backhaul, cable must be plugged into the WAN port of the aimesh node.

This got me thinking that maybe LACP is possible by enabling WAN aggregation on the aimesh nodes.

Question 1:

Since aimesh modes mirror the setting on the main router, since I use LACP from MB8600 modem to the router rt-ax88u will WAN aggregation already be ON on the the aimesh rt-ax88u nodes and this should work?

Question 2:

If WAN aggregation is not already on, can i use nvram commands to turn it on the aimesh nodes?

I found this for LAN aggregation:

"
So I managed to work this out;

nvram set lacp=1
nvram set lacp_enabled=1
nvram set lacpdebug=0
nvram set lacpdev=vlan1
nvram set lacpmode=1
nvram set lacpports="1 2"
nvram commit
reboot

It should work the same on the RT-AC88U, just change this one line due to the different internal port mapping;
nvram set lacpports="2 3""

What would the command be to force WAN aggregation?

Sorry, I know this is crazy and may not be possible, but i was wanting to give it a shot :)

Thanks in advance all.
