Hoping someone can shed some light on this issue.

Kit=Draytek903AP X 2

The two APs are on same network

AP1 device

Using a laptop, an internet speed test is run, it will report a steady 120Mbps. It will stay at this speed for the duration of the test.

AP2 device

Using the same laptop, the same internet speed test is run on AP2, this time the speed will go to 120Mbps but then start to fall quite quickly to 100, 90 , 80 , 70 etc

What might be causing the behaviour on AP2? Any ideas would be great!

lots of internet things can cause that. But most likely RF interference and/or positioning of the laptop relative to the APs.
Maybe the laptop is still attached to the original AP and didn't switch ?
If you want to test local bandwidth, use iperf and two devices that can run it. Search threads here for iperf for the command to use it properly.

Solved: The AP was in Mesh Mode instead of Access Point Mode

Thanks degrub for your reply anyway!
