Opened up my RT-N66R to install an SD card...

...And found this! Missing completely! I'm super bummed... I checked the whole board to make sure I didn't overlook anything... (potato-quality Blackberry camera)

Well dang. That sucks. Though, it probably means it's the newest model currently released, which maybe means it's the most bestest or something? :p

You're not missing anything useful though. USB speed is a tease on the RT-N66U and you can always plug up a USB flash drive for the same function as the MicroSD card.

Haha... it's still cool though. :)

Cool... Yeah... I've got a 1GB stick for Entware and a 1TB drive for the file server. I was planning on replacing the 1GB Entware stick with another 1TB drive and putting Entware on the (suddenly missing) internal SD slot.

:(

Oh well.

Still the most badass router I've ever laid eyes on.

Would it be in the realm of possibility to solder a uSD slot onto the board? Or am I just grasping at straws here?
