OpenVPN on RT-AC68U behind a router

I have a setup as follows:

Modem-> Router (DMZ) -> AC68U

I want to setup OpenVPN on AC68U. My problem is that when I create the client certificate, they are pointing to the static address I defined on the router as my WAN IP.

Is there a way to setup OpenVPN for my network topology on the router itself?

Just edit the config file to use a DDNS hostname that's updated from either a client running on a pc or the fronting router. That information is only used by the client that will use that config file.

Thanks, I am assuming you can do that on your firmware. Not the stock.
