Openvpn server auth issues

So last night I tried to turn on and setup openvpn server. I turned it on and created an account. I exported the .openvpn file and imported into my phone app. When I click connect it just says auth failure and then goes back to connecting. Any ideas?

There should be messages in the router's System Log that tells you what the problem is.

What router? What firmware? Was this a clean/dirty upgrade?

What options did you change past defaults in the OpenVPN Server?

Sorry, AX11000 latest Merlin. No changes to defaults, just turned it on, created a username/password and clicked apply. Exported the config, put the config in my phone and on my phone says auth failed.
