I had tried unsuccessfully to use an N56U in AP mode with Padavan FW. Today after much searching and playing around I did find a reference in the Padavan thread that pointed me in the right direction.
With the ASUS FW, you set the WAN IP address to a static prior to toggling the modes. The N56U keeps the WAN address as the LAN address. With Padavan you MUST explicitly set the LAN address to the desired address. Setting the WAN address prior to toggling does NOT give the N56U that address.
I created this as a separate topic so that others may not have to search as much as I did.
