I'm currently running a AC87u on 384.4 all these device are connected on 5GHz. I'm in a condo so there is a little bit more congestion than normal.

Google Home(furthest from router 15 meters max) gets the best ping times

This is really hurting the usability of some of the device and I don't really know whats going on.
 
Actually it looks like the strange ping only happens if the device is in sleep mode. Once I wake it the ping returns to normal.

That'd be power management in effect then.
