Ping times growing up to 1200ms (RT-AC68U)

New Around Here
Ping times runing from 15ms which is normal to 600-1200 ms after some hours. Testet through speedtest.net on the windows pc as well as directly on the router. A simple reboot and I'm back from 1200 ms to 15 ms.

CPU cores are at 5% / 1%
RAM is at 25 %
CPU Temperature is at 80 Grad Celsius
2.4 & 5 GHz is at arround 53 Grad Celsius

I have my Phone and iPad connected, but the PC is on LAN. It could not be the client because the Ping from the router directly to google.com and other sites shows the same.

I have installed the latest firmware and also tried Asuswrt-Merlin.

Any idea what this could be and how it could be solved?

No torrents running... just a single PC

Yes, tested directly connected to my ISP modem... The router is directly connected to the ISP modem and I did the ping tests directly from the router

I disconnected all clients beside the one PC.... 1200 ms
I disconnected all clients beside my mobile phone... 1200 ms

So the issue can not caused by one of the clients

I think he meant, unplug the router and connect a PC directly to the modem thereby eliminating the router as the cause.

By the way, how is your internet provided? Cable or ADSL?

Yes.. test with a laptop directly connected to the modem, bypassing your router.
