PoE and Patch Panel

Sorry if this seems like an obvious question but I'm fairly clueless when it comes to power over ethernet. If I have a PoE switch, specifically the TRENDNet TPE-S44, hooked up to a patch panel that leads to various ethernet wall jacks throughout the office, will the PoE get to the wall jacks or will it for some reason terminate at the patch panel? It should be the former because the patch panel just acts as extended cat5e cabling through the walls, right?

As long as the patch panel and wall wiring has all eight wires connected at each jack, PoE will work just fine.

Just checked and it does have all eight wires connected. Looks like I'll be set with PoE. Thanks again for your help Tim.
