Possibility of fixing the max channel number

Hi Merlin,

I have RT-AC5300 paired with EA-AC87 with SmartConnect enabled. They cooperate flawlessy for a long time but when router periodically changes channel number of 5Ghz-2 radii yo above than 120, my brigde is automatically switched to 5Ghz-1.(ea-ac87 does not see channels above 120 )
Because I have just bought another EA-AC87 and want to avoid have them connected to thw same radio...I would like to ask You about possibility to limit max. Channel number eligible by the router?

Is there such option to set by WRT or SSH?

Ok. I will see how two brigdes cooperate with SmartConnect enabled at stock setrings.

the answer would be to manually set the channel numbers and not leave it in auto on the 5300

Theoretically because SmartConnect disactivates channel switching. Only auto is possible especially yhat I would not like to resign from SC.

then just disable smart connect , its not that great anyway and set the ch numbers so it stay connected where you want it
