Possible to keep the same mount point?

Apologies if this has been asked or if the thread title is confusing.

Basically, I'm wondering if it is possible to get the router to mount external hard drives at the same mount points after rebooting. For example, I have a usb3 drive connected and the router mounts it to sda. I also have a thumb drive and it mounts to sdb. After rebooting, the usb3 drive mounts to sdb or something else, and the thumb drive changes as well. Is it possible to have the drives mounted at the same location despite reboots?

I'm running merlin's firmware on a rt87.

If you give the drives a label, it will typically then mount using the label rather than sd*
