New Around Here
I purchased a CM-AX6000 a while back since I was happy with its predecessor (CM32-AC2600). Recently got a fiber connection and it turns out you can't even disable DHCP on the CMAX and turn it into an access point.

Been thinking about ways to make it not a $400 paperweight (and remove the regret of my purchase) - and was wondering if different firmware might be possible.

Not hopeful with the way they are setup/approved for ISP usage, but if I don't care about the modem portion of it all and just want it to be a standard WAP/switch/guest router would that be possible?

Welcome to the forums @welckin.

Your best hope is to sell that very focused model. I would be very surprised to see third party firmware for it (that was also worth using).
