New Around Here
We live in a rural area, and have always run our WRT54G router without any form of wireless security. Since I'm upgrading the router to an ASUS RT-AC66U, are there any particular recommendations for the type of security? If there's going to be much of a performance hit, I'd probably just stick with no security......

Your only choice to get 802.11n link rates (anything above 54 Mbps) is no security or WPA2/AES. There hasn't been a performance penalty when enabling encryption for quite some time.

Thanks, Tim. The router came in this afternoon and I set it up accordingly (WPA2/AES).
