Hi, I'm on firmware 384.18 on an RT-AC86U, and under Administration -> System have selected Authentication Method = HTTPS. Now I get the warning message in my browser when I connect to the router WebUI on the LAN, as expected. So I would like to generate a cert.crt and load it in my browser to avoid this warning. I went to WAN ->DDNS and did the following:

-Selected Import/Persistent Auto-generated
-Generate a new certificate = Yes
-Additional Certificate SANs = <router IP>
-Hit Apply. This seemed to work well, as it then populated the Server Certificate box with Status OK, SAN as lots of text that agreed with the SAN under Administration -> System, and a new button appeared labelled Export.
-Hit Export. This gave me cert_key.tar which I extracted to only get cert.pem and key.pem files. Shouldn't it also give me a cert.cert file, that I can then load into my browser? Or am I misunderstanding what this functionality is for?

Any tips greatly appreciated.

If you're using Windows you should be able to just close and reopen your browser and load the HTTPS URL, then click on the cert warning and view cert details. One of the tabs should have a copy to file option, so just do that and import that file into your cert store.
