New Around Here
So recently dnsomatic changed their login to use the same as opendns.

This seems to have afffected my router dnsomatic based update to opendns.

Now I get the following in my logs:

ul 31 16:53:18 rc_service: watchdog 360:notify_rc start_ddns
Jul 31 16:53:19 start_ddns: update WWW.DNSOMATIC.COM dnsomatic, wan_unit 0
Jul 31 16:53:19 ddns update: ez-ipupdate: starting...
Jul 31 16:53:19 ddns update: connected to updates.dnsomatic.com (146.112.255.155) on port 443.
Jul 31 16:53:21 ddns update: host "home" has been blocked for abuse
Jul 31 16:53:21 ddns update: asusddns_update: 2
Jul 31 16:53:21 ddns update: exit_main
Jul 31 16:53:48 watchdog: start ddns.
Jul 31 16:53:48 rc_service: watchdog 360:notify_rc start_ddns
Jul 31 16:53:49 start_ddns: update WWW.DNSOMATIC.COM dnsomatic, wan_unit 0

Jul 31 16:53:50 ddns update: host "home" has been blocked for abuse
Jul 31 16:53:50 ddns update: asusddns_update: 2
Jul 31 16:53:50 ddns update: exit_main
Jul 31 16:54:18 watchdog: start ddns.

Jul 31 16:54:21 ddns update: asusddns_update: 2
Jul 31 16:54:21 ddns update: exit_main

Whether I put all.dnsomatic.com or whatever I put in my host name on the ddns page it makes not difference.

My credentials are correct as whenI change the password I get an authentication error...

What I'm really trying to do is to establish where this line ddns update: host "home" has been blocked for abuse has been blocked for abuse comes from? is it the router doing that or the server it's connecting with? How can I see what it is doing?

So the issue stems from the fact that the router is trying to update to dnsomatic every 30 seconds and opendns/dnsomatic only allow one poll a minute. Any more and it gets flagged as "abuse"...

I found 'abuse' defined on this page:

OE

Do you have "WAN IP and hostname verification" disabled since all.dnsomatic.com won't match your WAN IP?

If you are going to use DDNS set it to run on bootup. Your WAN IP is not going to change once you are running.
