Hi everyone
I recently updated to 384.5 Merlin firemware previously I was 380.xx and VLC was able to see all my shared drives and read files.
ES file manager can access the drives and files with the latest firmware files but with VLC it seems to be refreshing forever. VLC asks me to put my username and password but when I try to access a folder it won't read it.
Anyone experience the same problem? It looks like a firewall issue.
any help would be appreciated.

Is VLC on your PC or some other device? If it's on your PC, can you access the files outside of VLC (like in Windows Explorer)?

If you're sharing your files with Samba try changing the Samba protocol version to SMBv1 only.
